National People’s Power
To liberate our beloved nation from rulers and political groups that are devious, incompetent, opportunistic and governed by greed. To be rid of ‘leaders’ that have contributed to and caused the downfall of our island home. We aim to build the largest people’s force in the country to protect and rebuild this nation. We are striving to produce true representatives who are accountable to the people of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Our policy framework is based on national policies that are developed by the National Intellectuals’ Organization – an affiliate of the NPP, who travels across the country, meeting and conversing with various communities. They identify the people’s needs and incorporate them into important proposals from various organizations and individuals.
Our policy is to be continuously open to the ideas of the public – to seek true independence for the nation and its people. To free our home from inflation, unbearable debt, economic and social pressures and national disharmony. To regain control of our land, our skies, our seas and our industries that we have lost. The foundation of our policy is to strive for and ensure true prosperity for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
